ELECTRONIC DESIGN ENGINEER
With a First Class Masters degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Joel is committed to innovation and development in the electronics sector. Having worked in multiple engineering firms throughout his career, Joel has the technological capability and experience required for a range of disciplines.
Joel’s capabilities include hardware, firmware and software development in a range of software and languages. This is proven through the successful completion and deployment of projects for sectors including automotive, filtration, Health & Safety equipment and production condition monitoring.
During his studies, Joel worked on many projects, including the design and evaluation of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), for use in neuronal recording systems, and the development of an electronic solar system model (Orrery) complete with touchscreen interface and predictive calculation of planetary positioning. He has knowledge in a wide range of electronic fields from synchronous power generation and control systems, to mixed signal integrated circuit design.
On completion of his degree, Joel was awarded the Yorkshire Union of institutes Prize for receiving the highest overall mark in the electronic engineering department. He was also awarded a certification as a National Instruments LabVIEW Associate Developer.
Joel has a keen interest in computing and consumer electronics and enjoys rock climbing in his spare time.
